Joliet Public Schools District 86, in coordination with U.S. Senator Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), Illinois Principals Association (IPA), National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), recognized April 7-11, 2025 as National Assistant Principals Week.
“Our assistant principals take on so many roles at our schools to support our students, families, and staff,” said Joliet Public Schools District 86 Superintendent Dr. Theresa Rouse, “We appreciate their dedication and hard work.”

Cunningham Elementary; Michelle Lewis-Kapp, Dirksen Junior High; Kesha Brown and Karen Glowicki, Hufford Junior High & I.E. Program; Dr. Ashanti Howard, Thomas Jefferson Elementary; Lakisha Redmond, Marycrest Early Childhood Center; Jordan Miller, Pershing Elementary; Dr. Jamie Max and Megan Pritz, Sator Sanchez Elementary; Chris Suffecool, Isaac Singleton Elementary; and Sara Coombs, Washington Junior High & Academy Program.
