I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! It is always refreshing to take some time off to recharge and get ready for the rest of the school year. I cannot believe April is upon us. April is the time to register your children for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. We have over 200 students already registered! Thank you, parents!
Student registration is done online on our new website at https://www.joliet86.org/page/student-registration Please log into your Aspen Family Portal Account to begin the process. If you need to reset your password, or if you are new to District 86 and need to set up a new account, visit https://il-joliet86.myfollett.com/aspen-login/?deploymentId=il-joliet86
Our elementary schools will host Kindergarten informational sessions for families who will have children starting Kindergarten in the fall on Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. If you have a child that will be five-years-old by September 1, 2025, please plan on attending. After the orientation sessions, families will have the opportunity to schedule a time at the schools to register their Kindergarten students. For details, visit https://www.joliet86.org/article/2129389
Students entering PreKindergarten, Kindergarten, and Sixth Grade must submit physical exams and immunization records during registration. In addition, dental exams are mandatory for students entering Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth Grades and eye exams are required for incoming Kindergarteners. Proof of TDAP immunization is also mandatory for all new sixth-grade students. Schedule your doctor’s appointments now to avoid the rush during the summer.
Please register your children as soon as possible. This information is crucial for school administrators to prepare classrooms for the upcoming school year and for our transportation team to plan the bus routes over the summer.
If you need assistance with registration or you have a question, comment, concern, or compliment about one of our schools or the District, send a Let’s Talk message at https://www.joliet86.org/o/jps/page/joliet-public-schools-district-86-lets-talk or go to our website www.joliet86.org and click on Let’s Talk at the top of the page.
