National Principal Month

Oct 12, 2018

The month of October is National Principal Month!  We have twenty-one amazing principals who work very hard to ensure that all of our schools are running smoothly.  They are all highly qualified and continue to build upon their skills as they network together with other principals through professional development and other direct collaboration opportunities.

The job of a principal is multi-faceted.  The principal is responsible for all of the management of the school site, instructional leadership with the teaching staff, climate of the building, safety of students and staff, as well as connecting and communicating with all of the families and the community surrounding the school.   I see our principals working hard every day to ensure that all of these responsibilities are met and exceeded.  They each go above and beyond to be certain their school is providing the best learning environment possible for each and every student.

Please join me in celebrating our principals this month!  Share your celebrations with your child's principal in person, through twitter using our hashtag #D86HOPE, or through our new "Let's Talk" communication tool on the district website.  I look forward to hearing of these celebrations of our amazing principals!
