Joliet District 86 Honorary Principals for a Day

Joliet Public Schools District 86 welcomed community and business members into elementary and junior high schools for the District’s annual Principal for a Day Celebration. “Honorary” principals shadowed the school principals and helped with student arrival, morning announcements, visiting classrooms, lunchroom duty, and supervising outside recess.  

Honorary Principals of the Day included: Alicia Morales, Joliet Township Government, M.J. Cunningham Elementary; Pastor Dwayne Barefield, All Nations Church, Dirksen Junior High; Deb Upshaw, National Hook-up of Black Women; Eisenhower Academy; Theresa Ward, Will County Regional Office of Education; Farragut Elementary; Karrie White, Rival5 Technologies Corporation, Forest Park Individual Education School; Bob DiLorenzo, Gompers Class of 1958 Alum, Gompers Junior High; Chris Parker, African American Business Association, Hufford Junior High; Tamra Bienemann, Will County Community Concerns, Thomas Jefferson Elementary; Envoy Scott Hurula, Salvation Army, Edna Keith Elementary; Al Vertin, Joliet Police Department, A.O.
